This has to be the most exciting job opportunity you will see today…!

Two Bridges School is working in close partnership with KCC to develop a Primary Nurture provision in Swale.  This post is funded by the New Ways of Working initiative which has successfully provided support to develop Tracks in West Kent Area which supports students from 75 primary schools, working with them and their schools and families to adjust behaviours and learning habits to become more successful learners and remove the risk of exclusion so often being faced due to challenging behaviours.

We are expanding this creative approach into the Swale area to support schools on the Island and in Sittingbourne with a similar approach to behaviour modification and refocus of engagement with learning.  We will work with Keystage 1 and 2 students building their resilience, determination and ability to work together.  Gaining a sense of trust and ambition alongside self confidence and problem solving using nurture and Forest School techniques. The programs will run part in Tracks centres and part in mainstream Primary Schools.

The successful Tracks provision in West Kent ensures you have access to some of the best training available as well as the opportunity to be involved in the planning and development of these unique programs for supporting Swale Schools from the outset.  Training and ongoing CPD will be included as part of the planning for this new team.

If you have experience of working in Primary or Challenging environments with young people and want to take your career to the next level then this job description is one you should be looking at carefully.  Please call or email to arrange a time to chat further about this chance to really make a difference whilst doing the things you love.

Information about the school

We are the newly amalgamated behaviour support provision for West Kent Area. We offer support through the WKLF referral forum to all 16 Secondary Schools in West Kent and are developing our work to support our partner Primary Schools as well.

Our Keystage 3 centre in Charles Street, Southborough offers respite placements for students in Years 7, 8 and 9 who have experienced behaviour difficulties in their mainstream setting and who are at risk of permanent exclusion. We aim to reintegrate students back into a mainstream School as soon as possible.

For some students a more long term solution is the key to their success. We provide GCSE and other Level 2 learning in a range of subjects for students in years 10 and 11. There are vocational options which are also delivered at our site in Morley Road, Tonbridge. These personalised programs of study include a deep focus on behaviour management, confidence, resilience and the ability to work well as part of a team.
