Two Bridges School is working in close partnership with KCC and  Wide Horizons Trust to develop a KS1 and 2 Tracks Nurture group provision based in Swale to support the schools in the area with pupils who display challenging behaviours.  Forest Schools style learning forms part of the basis of the program of engagement through which pupils learn to adjust behaviours and manage their triggers more effectively.  The program includes lots of creative challenges, heaps of learning and questioning, problem solving and working together.  Given the location in Swale coastal Schools techniques would also be able to be utilised within the programs.  You will be responsible for planning the learning venues and driving students to and from the sites.

Tracks in West Kent already successfully supports over 75 schools in that area and is in it's third year of successful nurture delivery  We  work with Keystage 1 and 2 students, building their resilience, determination and ability to work together.  Gaining a sense of trust and ambition alongside self confidence and problem solving and supporting pupils, their families and mainstream schools to a more successful future with reduced risk of exclusion as a result.  

The provision in West Kent will support the development of this new provision in Swale area.

Information about the school

We are the newly amalgamated behaviour support provision for West Kent Area. We offer support through the WKLF referral forum to all 16 Secondary Schools in West Kent and are developing our work to support our partner Primary Schools as well.

Our Keystage 3 centre in Charles Street, Southborough offers respite placements for students in Years 7, 8 and 9 who have experienced behaviour difficulties in their mainstream setting and who are at risk of permanent exclusion. We aim to reintegrate students back into a mainstream School as soon as possible.

For some students a more long term solution is the key to their success. We provide GCSE and other Level 2 learning in a range of subjects for students in years 10 and 11. There are vocational options which are also delivered at our site in Morley Road, Tonbridge. These personalised programs of study include a deep focus on behaviour management, confidence, resilience and the ability to work well as part of a team.
