We need a teaching assistant for 27 ½ hours a week (8.45am-3.30pm). Most of this time will be used to support a KS2 child with behavioural and emotional difficulties both in and out of the classroom and some of the time with other SEND children across the school. Experience of working with children is essential either as a TA, in Social Services, as an instructor or in another relevant field. Experience and knowledge of managing children with challenging behaviour and/or social and emotional issues would be beneficial. The amount of time spent in the 1:1 role and with other children may change over time.

We would like the successful applicant to start as soon as possible. This post is for this academic year initially but could be extended further.

Canterbury Road Primary School is a one form entry primary school close to Sittingbourne town centre and within easy reach of the M2, M20 and the train station.
