We wish to appoint a full-time, experienced Teaching Assistant, (26 hours weekly), to work in an upper KS2 class, starting January 2017. You will join our valued and supportive team in our ‘outstanding’ village primary school.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be an outstanding, creative, enthusiastic practitioner who will bring their own style and skills to support the excellent work developed throughout the school.
  • Have the skills, experience and knowledge to work with pupils in Key stage 2, Year 6, but have the flexibility to work in a different year group if required.
  • Have a good standard of general education, with a minimum of Level 2 literacy and numeracy (GCSE grade C or above or equivalent).
  • Have a good understanding of current educational thinking and initiatives.
  • Be a caring, understanding person with a sense of humour, who enjoys working with children and who is committed to supporting high standards and enjoyment of learning.
  • Have a good understanding of, and a desire to effectively support, children with additional needs.
  • Have the ability to work in a close team to achieve the best for our children and school community.
  • Have a desire to be involved in all aspects of school life.
