We are seeking an outstanding classroom practitioner to provide excellent teaching and genuinely purposeful learning.

Our aspirations for the children are rooted in well-being, inquiring minds and a love of learning. The school believes that the highest standards of individual achievement are made possible through confident, happy and motivated children supported by great teaching and an exciting and flexible curriculum.

There is some flexibility for the successful candidate to work in either a KS1 or KS2 class so please state your preference and experience to date on your application form.

Information about the school

The Wells Free School is committed to safeguarding children and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The Wells Free School opened in September 2013 with just years R, 1 and 2. We have expanded each year and, in September 2016, we moved into our brand-new school building. We now have 210 pupils divided into 7 classes.

With a strong focus on child-led learning and a commitment to outdoor learning experiences, the school aims to promote excellence and wellbeing, ensuring that our pupils have a real understanding of their community, both locally and globally. The school was rated good by OFSTED in June 2019.
