Are you the very special teacher we need for our pupils? We are seeking to appoint a flexible Key Stage 2 teacher from January 2017, or earlier if possible. The successful candidate will be joining a lively, enthusiastic and supportive team with many opportunities for continuing professional development. 

We are looking for a dynamic and creative teacher who is an excellent classroom practitioner. You must be resourceful, positive and motivated with a good sense of humour.  You will share our belief that all pupils can achieve and be successful.  You will have the ability to organise, inspire and motivate young people with special educational needs and social, emotional and mental health difficulties.

We offer a unique teaching and learning environment, committed staff and pupils and excellent career development opportunities.  The school caters for pupils with social, emotional and mental health difficulties (SEMH) and autism spectrum conditions.

This post will require the following skills:

  • Good curriculum knowledge and an ability to plan creatively for pupils who require personalised learning.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills as this post will require significant collaborative working with teaching colleagues, parents and multi-agency providers.
  • Some experience and enthusiasm for working with pupils with behaviour and social communication difficulties and ASC.
  • Commitment to undertake continuing professional development.
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Strong emotional resilience.
  • Empathy and understanding towards young people.
