Senior Caretaker required for October start

37 hours per week/ 52 weeks per year

We are seeking to appoint a Senior Caretaker to work alongside the School Business Manager and Head Teacher in ensuring the school premises are maintained to the very highest standards and meet all current health and safety requirements.

The Senior Caretaker will be expected to:

• Undertake general repairs and maintenance around the premises, both inside and out
• During school holiday periods undertake specific cleaning and maintenance tasks
• Maintain site security
• Demonstrate a sound knowledge of health and safety regulations commensurate with the post eg: Water Hygiene, Fire Safety, COSHH
• Liaise with the School Business Manager, external contractors and other staff members
• Be flexible, thrive on variety and be adaptable to change
• Have a ‘can do’ approach
• Be willing to contribute ideas and solutions to problems
• Enjoy working as part of a team
• Be willing to be part of our very special school community

The post is 37 hours per week, all year round, and includes the opportunity for some overtime where there are additional workloads and the demands of special projects.
