We are seeking to appoint an outstanding Learning Support Assistant to work one to one and in small groups with a child within Key Stage 2.  To promote their social, emotional and personal development, with a focus on reinforcing positive behaviour.  The successful candidate will provide support for children to overcome a range of barriers to learning.  

The successful applicant will have proven ability to work on their own initiative and will demonstrate a commitment towards children making outstanding progress in their learning.

Applicants are invited from individuals who have: • At least NVQ2 • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent) at grade C+ • Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team • Ability and confidence to manage behaviour in and out of the classroom • A great sense of humour!

This is a temporary position for one year initially.

Information about the school

We are a small, friendly, village primary school with 120 children taught in 6 classes. Our rural location just off the A28 between Ashford and Tenterden means we serve families from the village and the wider area. We have received a Good grading in our most recent Ofsted inspection (June 2023).

Our large site has extensive grounds, which includes a gardening area and large playing field.

We have a friendly, dedicated staff who work seamlessly together as a team, ensuring our children excel through a focus on quality first teaching and pastoral support.
