Advert

Sadly, we will be saying goodbye to our lovely FLO at the end of the Summer to enable her to fulfill her worthy ambition to become a Foster Parent.

We now need someone to step into her shoes and become a key member of our Pastoral Team across the St Michael's Federation promoting our core Christian Values.

Supporting children and families, your role will involve lots of challenge, smiles and tears and the satisfaction of making a real difference in people's lives.

The FLO role will be across both St Michael's Infant and Junior Schools, helping our vulnerable families and supporting them as required. You will also be a key player in the Child Protection team, attending meetings as necessary and assisting with referrals. This is a term time position, + 2 weeks to allow for work and training in the holidays.

The role includes monitoring attendance and first day calling.

Our Federation will offer you a friendly working environment, training as required, support when you need it and cakes!

We'd love to meet you, and if you would like to come and see the schools before you apply, please contact us on 01622 751502.

At St Michael's we are committed to safeguarding our children and an enhanced DBS check will be required for this post.

Please use the Kent-Teach application process. Unaccompanied CV's will not be accepted.

Information about the school

St Michael's CE Junior School is a Victorian town school in the Fant area, within walking distance of the town. It was built approximately 150 years ago in an area of mainly Victorian and Edwardian houses and most pupils live locally.

We have approximately 45 children in each year group. The school site is larger than it first appears and our buildings provide a wide range of facilities.

The school is a Church of England Controlled School and maintains close links with the church. It is federated with the infant school across the road.

St Michael's has a warm and friendly atmosphere, which is frequently commented upon by visitors. Our Christian values of Friendship, Respect, Happiness and Perseverance provide a strong and caring environment enabling our children and staff to flourish.
