We are looking for 2 Teaching Assistants to work alongside classteachers in either a KS1 or KS2 post.

The positions start in September 2016. 

The positions will be paid on KR3 for approximately 26hours a week (9 - 3:20).

Ideally the successful candidate should have:

  • Knowledge and experience of working with KS1/2 and the KS1/2 curriculum.
  • Knowledge and experience of KS1 SATS/ Phonics Testing.
  • Knowledge and experience of teaching phonics and small groups.
  • Knowledge and experience of working with children.
  • An ability to deliver appropriate interventions.
  • An ability to work as part of a team.
  • Enthusiasm and a positive outlook on life.
  • A willingness to contribute to the wider life of the school.
  • A good level of Maths and English grade C GCSE or equivalent.

We are open to any applications from candidates who may not have these experiences/skills as long as there is clear evidence and a track record of a willingness to upskill. We would anticipate that if this is the case that the successful candidate would be ready to embark on training at the start of employment.

Sholden Church of England Primary School is a delightful small, church primary school located on the outskirts of Deal. We have 4 classes, 3 of which are mixed year groups and approximately 105 pupils on roll. We have wonderful, hard working and well behaved pupils, a dedicated team of professionals to lead them and a welcoming school community.
