The Federation of Foxwood & Highview School are looking to appoint Relief Teaching Assistants to be based at Foxwood in Hythe.  You will be employed on an ad hoc basis.  The Head Teacher will agree with you the hours of work and days on which you will be required to work.

These posts are term time only (39 working weeks per year) KR3 £15,102 - £16,799 (pro rata to term time) depending on experience plus £1,229 SENA.

We are looking for enthusiastic and experienced TAs to join our dedicated and highly effective team. The school prides itself on providing our students with much more than academic support within lessons and we are looking for people willing to commit to providing the very best all round education for these exceptional young people. All applicants must have or be willing to gain CSE/GCSE grade C/3 or level 2 Numeracy & Literacy.

Not only did we receive Outstanding in our last Ofsted inspection we have since gained the Gold Award for Continued Professional Learning Development; all staff are provided with a full induction programme and receive a support programme throughout the year to help them achieve their personal and professional Appraisal Targets.

Information about the school

Foxwood is part of a Federation with Highview School. In September 2016 we will merge into one new school and move to our new premises and have a brand new name, The Beacon, Folkestone. We are very proud to announce that in June 2014 both schools received Outstanding in their Ofsted inspections. The Beacon will cater for young people experiencing moderate, profound and severe learning difficulties, often arising out of a combination of needs in addition to cognition and learning. We are a mixed school who caters for pupils aged 3-19 years.
