Advert

Come and enjoy teaching children who want to learn in our small, thriving village school.

We have a vacancy for an upper Key Stage 2 teacher for our mixed year 5 and 6 class.  We can offer you supportive colleagues and delightful children with small class sizes (on average 25 children).  We have a relaxed atmosphere and we are surrounded by orchards, horses and fields.

We are committed to a sensible work/life balance for all our staff. You’ll notice we don’t ask you to be “enthusiastic”, “dynamic” or “hardworking”- we kind of take that for granted.  We would welcome applications from both newly qualified and more experienced colleagues.

Anyway- that’s us.  If you like our advert, you’ll love working here!  Please come and visit us to see for yourself.  Interviews will be held on 15th March 2016.

Information about the school

At Milstead we are passionate about learning!

We want all of our children to receive an exciting and varied curriculum where they can explore and build on their own strengths and interests in a supportive and nurturing environment while feeling valued for their individuality. We aim to lay a foundation of curiosity, tapping into children’s natural inquisitiveness about the world around them, and to inspire a lifelong love of learning, whilst understanding diversity and culture and accepting differences. We encourage everyone to be determined and to take pride in all that they do. We work towards building a community in which everyone feels valued and valuable.

We are a small, village Church of England Primary school with mixed year groups. We aim to provide a Christian school community, where children feel secure, understand how to keep themselves safe and make the right choices with a clear moral purpose. Our rural setting gives us access to wonderful woodland which children visit weekly and features highly on our curriculum.

If you would like to join our team please apply via this website. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and all appointments to Our Community Multi Academy Trust are conditional on an enhanced DBS clearance.
