Sports Apprentice - Term Time Only

We have an exciting opportunity here at Upton; we are looking for a Sports Apprentice to join our successful team at Upton Junior School. The right candidate will be a positive and enthusiastic person who loves working with children and has the desire to help children strive for their very best through engagement in sport. The workplace learning will take part within Upton’s sports team in conjunction with an external learning provider assisting with PE lessons, sports clubs and the occasional weekend event.

You must have a minimum 'C' grade in English and Maths and an interest in all things sports related! You will be able to communicate effectively with children and adults, have a flexible attitude, good sense of humour and be friendly and approachable. Good time management and the ability to work on your own initiative are essential.

Above all you need to like children, to want the very best for them & be prepared to put their needs first. Children will be at the heart of your work. You must be able to demonstrate that you understand the importance of educating the whole child within a creative & innovative school setting through sports engagement.

You will be working for 30 hours per week, term time only (38 weeks). Pay: Kent Apprentice Scheme. This role will be under a one year fixed term contract.
