Required as soon as possible – a teaching assistant to join the dedicated and talented team of staff at Trottiscliffe CE Primary School. This is a temporary position for 1:1 support for a child with an EHC Plan. The child is a delight to work with and so this will be a thoroughly enjoyable role!

 

The successful candidate should have experience of working with children who have SEN and ideally in any of these areas:

Learning delay

Global developmental delay

Speech and language difficulties

Physical/co-ordination difficulties

KS1 and KS2

 

You must have NVQ Level 2 or 3 qualifications, or other relevant qualifications, and be willing to participate in further training when appropriate to support the child’s needs. You need to be able to show initiative in addition to working well with colleagues, parents and professionals from other agencies.

 

The role is for 30 hours a week term time, paid on Kent Range 3 scale.

 

We are a small school, tucked away in a beautiful village, although accessible by main roads, with a strong Anglican ethos based on key values such as respect and compassion. We have developed a challenge approach to learning , linked to high quality marking and feedback, which creates learning resilience in our children.

 

Visits to the school are welcomed and encouraged.
