Stoke Community School is part of the Williamson Trust - a family of schools dedicated to transforming children’s life chances through collaboration and partnership.

Stoke is a small village school on the Hoo Peninsula with wonderful children, committed staff and attractive grounds. We are looking for an enthusiastic, efficient, flexible, friendly and reliable HLTA to join our team.

The post is for 37 hours (5 days) per week during term time, and will provide afternoon cover for PPA in Key Stage 1 and 2, with the possibility of providing PPA cover in EYFS for the right candidate. PPA cover can be tailored to your strengths and expertise. In the mornings, you would be supporting in a KS2 classroom and leading on interventions to support children with their learning.

  • A qualified and experienced HLTA or someone with a Level 3 TA qualification ( or equivalent) who would be willing to take the HLTA qualification.
  • Someone who is able to enthuse pupils and challenge their thinking
  • A candidate who is passionate about children's learning with high expectations for progress, achievement and behaviour
  • A strong team member

Information about the school

Stoke Community School is a small rural one form entry primary school located on the Medway Peninsula. It has close links with the A2.

We have 6 classes and approximately 135 pupils on roll, ranging from Nursery to Year 6. We have wonderful, hard working and well behaved pupils and a dedicated team of professionals to lead them.

The Williamson Trust family of schools is based around the outstanding Sir Joseph Williamson’s Mathematical School, in Rochester – a National Support School and National Teaching School.
