NUMERACY COORDINATOR, TEACHER OF MATHEMATICS

We are looking to appoint a highly motivated teacher of Mathematics to join our Enterprise Faculty which is committed to raising standards and expectations and who has the experience to take on the role of Numeracy Coordinator with a TLR 2 responsibility.

This is a unique opportunity to be involved in and help shape our Academy, at an exciting stage in its development. The right candidate will be dedicated to helping mould the future of how our Enterprise Faculty delivers a curriculum and lessons which inspire and motivate students. This is an exciting initial leadership post and with the Academy’s growth and development further leadership and management opportunities may arise.

The successful candidate will be a hardworking, creative, energetic, excellent classroom practitioner. They will have the capacity to help us establish a vibrant learning environment, and a culture of enthusiasm for learning. Their professionalism and dedication will enable our students to achieve more than they believe possible.

The Enterprise Faculty specialises in Mathematics, ICT and Business Studies. Mathematics is taught from Year 7 through to GCSE with ‘A’ level mathematics also on offer. Institute of Financial Services (IFS) is taught in Year 9, 10, 12 & 13 with IB Diploma subject of Information Technology in the Global Society (ITGS) being taught in Year 12 & 13. Computer Science is taught at GCSE for Year 9 and 10. The Enterprise Faculty is a successful Faculty that has grown both in size and range of subjects taught over the past 5 years. The Faculty leadership consists of a Head of Faculty, Deputy Head of Faculty and a number of leadership roles across the subjects within the Faculty. The Faculty is housed in its own wing of the Academy. Senior House (Years 9 – 13) students are taught within this environment. Year 7 & 8 students (Junior House) are taught in Junior House, a separate area for all Junior House teaching.

This post is for a Numeracy Coordinator (TLR 2) and will be an opportunity for someone who wishes to take on their first leadership and management role.
