Temporary position

We are looking for a teacher to join our lovely and lively village school from September 2015 and would welcome applications from both newly qualified and more experienced colleagues. The position will be either Key Stage 1 or 2, but you will not need a particular subject specialism.

If you are someone who has an excellent understanding of how children are motivated and encouraged to develop a love for learning, and are prepared to achieve the highest standards whilst showing an interest in maintaining a sensible work/life balance, then we’d like to hear from you. As an academy we are able to offer a range of opportunities for high quality training and development.

You’ll notice we don’t ask you to be “enthusiastic”, “dynamic” or “hardworking”- we kind of take that for granted.

Informal visits to the school are welcome and would be a good opportunity to meet our dedicated team. We look forward to seeing you.

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and as such all appointments will be subject to satisfactory CRB checks and references.

Information about the school

At Lynsted and Norton primary School we are passionate about learning.

We want all of our children to receive an exciting and varied curriculum where they can explore and build on their own strengths and interests in a supportive and nurturing environment while feeling valued for their individuality. We aim to lay a foundation of curiosity, tapping into children’s natural inquisitiveness about the world around them, and to inspire a lifelong love of learning, whilst understanding diversity and culture and accepting differences. We encourage everyone to be determined and to take pride in all that they do. We work towards building a community in which everyone feels valued and valuable.

We are a village Primary school with a small reception cohort and 3 further mixed age classes. We aim to provide a school community where children feel secure, understand how to keep themselves safe and make the right choices with a clear moral purpose.

If you would like to join our team please apply via this website. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and all appointments to Our Community Multi-Academy Trust are conditional on an enhanced DBS clearance. Our Community Multi Academy Trust comprises ten Kent primary schools.

Please call the school office if you would like to arrange a visit, or to find out more about this role.

We look forward to hearing from you.
