Required for September 2015 – 2 teaching assistants to join the dedicated and talented team of staff at Trottiscliffe CE Primary School. These are temporary positions for 1:1 support for 2 children with statements/EHC Plans. The children are delightful and will make these roles thoroughly enjoyable!

Experience of working in any of these areas would be useful:

  • Learning delay
  • Global development delay
  • Speech and language difficulties
  • Makaton
  • Visual impairment
  • Physical/co-ordination difficulties

You must have NVQ Level 2 or 3 qualifications, or other relevant qualifications, and be willing to participate in further training when relevant to support the child’s needs. You need to be able to show initiative in addition to working well with colleagues, parents and professionals from other agencies.

The roles are for 30 hours each, term time, paid on Kent Range 3 scale.

We are a small school, tucked away in a beautiful village, although accessible by main roads, with a strong Anglican ethos based on key values such as respect and compassion. We have developed a challenge approach to learning , linked to high quality marking and feedback, which creates learning resilience in our children.
