ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL (Secondary Phase)

Salary: L14 – L18

The Governing Body and Sponsors are seeking to appoint an exceptional Assistant Principal who is passionate about improving the life chances of young people in our local community.  You will work closely with the Principal, Senior Leadership Team and the Governing Body and play a key role in developing our ambition for a first class education through outstanding teaching and learning and high quality, educational resources. The exact responsibilities of the post will be dependent upon the strengths of the successful candidate.

As Assistant Principal, could you:

  • Provide strong dynamic, consistent and motivated leadership and deliver our vision for The John Wallis Academy to be an outstanding Academy where every pupil and every student succeeds?
  • Ensure the provision of high quality teaching and learning through excellent in-service delivery and performance management of people and resources?
  • Raise standards of attainment and achievement across the Academy?

You will need:

  • First class leadership and management skills
  • Outstanding teaching ability and interpersonal skills
  • A proven track record of delivering results for all students
  • Enthusiasm, resilience and energy to inspire staff, students and the community
  • Unlimited aspirations and a belief that anything is possible
  • Strategic vision and leadership capability to fully exploit technology for Teacher and Learning
