We wish to appoint the following post from September 2015 or earlier, depending on availability.

A Teaching Assistant who will be flexible and support across KS1 and KS2.

We are keen to recruit someone with PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE and knowledge of supporting children in a range of interventions, particularly Maths.

This post is term time only but includes staff development days, a total of 39 weeks per annum. Hours are from 08:30am until 3:30pm, a total of 32.5 per week. There is an expectation that at least one day a week will involve flexible hours to cover our Breakfast Club which starts at 08:00am.

We are looking for a positive and enthusiastic person who loves working with children and wants to join a committed team to ensure that all children achieve their potential in a happy and safe environment.

In addition to a relevant Teaching Assistant qualification or other Higher Level qualification, the ideal candidate must hold GCSE Maths and English Grade C or equivalent and be IT literate. They should be good and effective communicators with both children and adults, friendly and approachable, adaptable, able to work on their own initiative and with good time management skills.

A flexible approach is essential in order to suit the needs of the children as the school grows and develops. A sense of humour also helps!

Goat Lees Primary School is a one form entry Primary School which opened in September 2013. This is a wonderful opportunity to be part of a special learning environment that aims to be at the ‘Heart of the Community’. As a member of the CARE Foundation Trust, we work closely with nine other primary schools across the Ashford District to provide support and opportunities for collaboration across our schools.

Our innovative building has been designed by a collaboration of experienced local headteachers and a nationally nominated architectural company which has created a beautiful space in which to stimulate learning. We have further enhanced our facilities by building a performing arts room with a large outdoor stage as part of our commitment to providing a broad and balanced curriculum.

At Goat Lees, we pride ourselves on ensuring that we have done the very best for all our children and work together to bring out the best in everyone. Our staff, governors, children and parents are all incredibly proud of our achievements and our most recent Ofsted report (January 2020) concluded Goat Lees Primary School continues to be a good school.
