Two very popular schools, two distinct identities, one vision:

Hand in hand we believe, we learn, we achieve.

Do you have what it takes to make our vision a reality for our children, our staff, the governors, the parents, our diocese and the wider community?

Tucked away in a Cinque Port town, Tenterden Primary Federation is comprised of two very distinct and individual schools; both judged Good by Ofsted, which work closely together in a strong federation.

The Infant School (a community school) with its clearly defined philosophy aims to; nurture, inspire and encourage everyone to be the best they can be.

The Junior School (a Church of England Voluntary Controlled school) has a distinct Christian ethos and six Core Christian Values of Friendship, Peace, Reverence, Trust, Wisdom and Endurance.

Our shared goal is to appoint an ambitious visionary leader who can drive the individuality of our two rural schools under one executive headship and build on the successes that the current post-holder and schools have achieved in recent years. We need you to deliver our vision and to give every child the opportunity to achieve and succeed during their primary education.

What will you gain?

• A strongly structured team of talented staff, open to ideas, willing to embrace new visions and committed to driving through school improvement.  Each school has a deputy Headteacher, and the Junior School has an assistant Headteacher.
• Children who are happy, motivated and engaged, who are curious, who enjoy learning and who love coming to school and who are proud of their schools.
• Parents who welcome the openness of the teaching staff, the security and opportunities presented to their children and the ability to be involved in their child’s progression and development.
• A knowledgeable and active Governing Body who will support you.
• The support of other Headteachers and senior leaders within the Tenterden Rural Alliance.
• A welcome from the diocese which runs induction programmes for Headteachers new to church schools and offers support for Headteachers with limited experience of leading a church school.
• A respected place within the local community and the benefit of close links with the church community.

We are really proud of the wonderful learning environment we provide for our children and would like you to come and see for yourself. Visits are warmly encouraged and can be arranged by contacting the Junior School Office on 01580 763717.

Our School and all its personnel are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the children. This post is subject to a DBS check. This post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure Application to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
