St Simon Stock Catholic School is situated in Maidstone, Kent with 1,062 students aged 11-19 years. We are a learning community, aiming to help each student achieve their full potential. St Simon Stock has recently been rated as ‘Outstanding’ by Section 48 (2015). 87% of students achieved A*-C in Geography (2014). We are a friendly school with a positive working environment.

 

We are looking for a well-qualified and enthusiastic teacher of Geography to cover a maternity leave. The subject is popular with students at GCSE and A level. This appointment would particularly suit an NQT or teacher in the early stages of their career who would join an experienced, successful and supportive team which is well led.   The successful candidate would be expected to teach KS3 and KS4 Geography with the possibility of Sixth form work for a suitable candidate. The ability to offer BTEC Public Services would be helpful.

St Simon Stock Catholic School is a Catholic secondary school located in Maidstone, Kent and part of the Kent Catholic Schools’ Partnership (KCSP). This multi-academy trust (MAT), established by the Archdiocese of Southwark for Catholic education across Kent, currently comprises of 26 academies (21 primary and 5 secondary schools).

St Simon Stock is an over-subscribed, co-educational, high achieving school with a long tradition of academic success. We have over 1100 students on roll, including over 200 in Sixth Form and a staff of almost 100.
