The successful applicant should demonstrate the ability to impact on whole school improvement through effective subject leadership. Their passion for a particular curriclum area will influence future subject responsibilities within the school. We welcome applications from those with experience or starting their career. We have invested in the school's leadership capacity to enable us to support and develop NQTs through their first year of teaching.

We are a school that uses Pie Corbett’s ‘Talk for Writing’ so experience in this field would be an advantage but is not essential, as CPD will be provided. Included within this role are opportunities to visit local schools and develop a broader understanding of the needs of our local community.

We invest in the development of our staff in order to work towards excellence in the classroom or future leadership. We work closely with our 'Hub' to develop the quality of teaching & learning across our schools in Shepway. Regular moderations and opportunities for CPD are incorporated into our development programmes.

Mundella Primary School is a forward thinking and child centered school situated in East Folkestone. The school is comprised of 7 classes and caters for up to 210 children in Foundation Stage, Key Stage 1 and 2.

The school has a happy and friendly atmosphere, with a very dedicated staff who are ambitious for all their pupils and the community they serve.
