Advert

At Oaklands we are passionate about making sure that every one of our children realises their potential.  We believe that together everyone achieves more, therefore, only the very best will do for our team.  We are at the start of an exciting new chapter for the school with the appointment of a new Headteacher and looking to continue all the good work of this rapidly improving school.

I like coming here because I like working hard Year 1 child.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled teacher who has high aspirations of what children can achieve to join our friendly team.   At present, the year group is not set and will use the successful applicant’s strengths.  Do you have the skills and desire to make a difference to our children?

Oaklands School is an over-subscribed two form entry primary school and children centre situated in Walderslade.  The school is set in extensive grounds, well resourced, including our own swimming pool and woodland area offering many opportunities for outside learning.

“This school’s great as there’s lots of space to play and to learn” Year 5 child.

Can you:

  • Inspire our children to become independent learners with a thirst for acquiring new skills and knowledge?
  • Demonstrate consistently high expectation and behaviour management techniques?
  • Help them to develop as confident individuals?
  • Become a strong team play member of Team Oaklands and share your ideas with colleagues?
  • Demonstrate effective teaching and creativity in your teaching?

We can offer:

  • A “rapidly improving” (Ofsted Oct ’13) school which is rewarding to work in.
