Estates Assistant

Required for September 2026

FSG Pay Scheme Band 7 Points 20 - 24 (£30,339 – £33,664)

37 hours per week.  Full time all year round.

The Folkestone School for Girls is a large secondary school in Kent with over 1200 students and 140 staff.  We are a busy, vibrant, and happy school – academically successful but driven to achieve much more. We believe that education must maintain a balance between intellect and character. An outstanding education is not either/or. It is both. Our academic curriculum therefore is only a part of what we do.

We seek to appoint an experienced Estates Assistant to join our dedicated team, who will be responsible for overseeing improvements and maintenance works and supporting the day-to-day running of the site by working closely with the Estates Manager and wider Site Department.  The successful candidate will be experienced in a similar role and ideally have demonstrable knowledge of project management and Health & Safety and be comfortable liaising with internal stakeholders and instructing external contractors.

Successful applicants will have

• Relevant facilities experience, including Health & Safety, preferably within a large scale facility
• An innovative & flexible approach to work
• The ability to develop and own a project from planning through to completion
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and CRM Systems
