If so, Goat Lees Primary School could have the perfect opportunity for you!

We are looking to appoint caring and committed LSAs to work either in Upper KS2 or our Nurture Provision supporting smaller groups of children with SEND.

This will be a fixed term post starting on 1 September 2026 until 31 August 2027 with the possibility this may be extended. Hours will be 32.5 per week, term time only, from 8:30am to 3:30pm daily, but to incorporate two additional Breakfast Club duties from 7:45am before school.  Additional hours may be available to support the delivery of our wide range of extra-curricular clubs after school, and extra Breakfast Club duties.

We need LSAs who are:

  • adaptable and able to use their initiative to meet pupils' needs
  • able to work as part of a team
  • compassionate and understand the importance of pupil wellbeing
  • enthusiastic about primary education and committed to improving outcomes for children from diverse backgrounds
  • comfortable supporting children with a range of additional needs including SEND
  • competent in basic English & Maths and confident to support learning activities across the curriculum

A further advantage, although not essential, as training can be provided, would be: 

  • some involvement in a school setting, or a graduate considering a route into teaching and looking for hands on school experience
  • knowledge of specific programmes or interventions including Speech, Language & Communication, Maths & English support, behaviour support
