Would you like to work in a “harmonious community” where “pupils are keen to learn and respectful to all”? (Ofsted). Borden Grammar School provides students opportunities to improve life chances in a supportive environment. You would be joining a strong team of specialists, focused on pedagogical improvement and passionate about creating a love for their subject. The successful candidate should be confident that Borden is an exciting and supportive place to work.

Borden is actively seeking a highly competent and skilled professional with a love of their subject. All science specialisms are highly popular and successful subjects at both GCSE and A Level, resulting from a challenging curriculum combined with a reflective pedagogy. The successful candidate will be part of a very strong department and should be able to teach all Key Stages, with the potential of offering A level if they wish to.  The successful candidate will need to be able to teach Physics to at least KS4 as well as another science, preferably Biology, however, there is the ability to be somewhat flexible in the specialism. The Science department regularly leads educational visits within and beyond the UK, and the successful applicant would be expected to contribute to this expansive ethos.

You would be joining a strong team of specialists, focused on pedagogical improvement and passionate about creating a love for their subject. The successful candidate should be confident that Borden is both an exciting and supportive place to work.
