Teaching Assistant Part-Time

Pay details: KSB £25,126, pro rata based on 18 hours a week for 39 weeks a year is £10,654.54

We want to hear from you! 

We would like to a recruit dynamic teaching assistant to join our happy, friendly and dedicated team in Folkestone. You will need to be highly motivated and committed to promoting aspiration and celebrating achievements, making a true difference and improving our children's life chances. 

You will be supported by a Phase Leader and other support staff within your phase. A minimum NVQ level 2 in a relevant programme of study would be an advantage. This role is likely to be working in KS2, so we would like a candidate who is confident working with classes year 3-6. 

This is a temporary contract for one year, with a view to permanency thereafter. 

The ideal candidate will be able to think on their feet; work both independently and as part of the team, promote positive learning behaviours and effectively plan and assess. Furthermore, they will be part of our commitment to ensuring that learning progress, for all children, meets and surpasses expectations.

Working hours will be 8.30am- 3.15pm Term time only, with a 30 minute lunch break and INSET Days. The role is a part time role, ideally 3 days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday). 

We are looking for someone who will:

  • Be a positive team player
  • Be driven, raising children's aspirations.
  • Have high expectations of pupil achievement and behaviour.
  • The ability to work across all classes would be advantageous

Mundella Primary School is a forward thinking and child centered school situated in East Folkestone. The school is comprised of 7 classes and caters for up to 210 children in Foundation Stage, Key Stage 1 and 2.
