We are seeking to appoint a highly organised, detail-oriented, and proactive Examinations Officer to join our school from 1 January 2026, ensuring a smooth handover, as our current postholder prepares for retirement.

This is a pivotal role in our school community, responsible for the secure and efficient administration of all internal and external examinations. The successful candidate will be required to use our management information system, Bromcom, to manage exam entries, student data, and results, and will work closely with staff, students, and awarding bodies to uphold the highest standards of compliance and integrity.

 Key responsibilities are to:

  • Oversee the full exams cycle, including entries, timetables, invigilation, and results
  • Plan and manage both mock exams and external exams across the academic year
  • Use Bromcom to manage exam data, reporting, and analysis
  • Liaise with awarding bodies to ensure accurate and timely communication
  • Recruit, train, and manage a team of invigilators
  • Work closely with the SEN department to coordinate access arrangements
  • Assist in the analysis of exam data to support school performance and planning
  • Ensure compliance with JCQ regulations and school policies
  • Provide clear guidance and support to students and staff regarding exam procedures

 What we are looking for:

  • Exceptional organisational and administrative skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to plan and prioritise effectively across the exam cycle
  • Professional and calm communication style
  • Experience in exams administration (preferred)
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Proven experience with Bromcom (preferred)

Hours are 37 per week 8.00am until 4.00pm Monday to Thursday and 8.00am until 3.30pm on Friday (inclusive of a 30-minute lunch break) term time plus 10 days to be worked in the school holidays, a minimum of 6 which must be worked during GCSE and A Level results weeks in August.

In addition, the school currently contributes 22.5% (between £6,658.66 and £7,593.77 pa) towards you being a member of the Local Government Pension Scheme.
