We are looking to appoint a compassionate, patient, cheerful and approachable candidate who is proactive in providing high quality lunchtime experiences for our children. The successful candidate will be a reliable and positive individual who can initiate and facilitate a range of fun and enjoyable games and activities to improve the participation and inclusion of our pupils during their lunch break.  If you have a passion for supporting children's holistic development and enhancing their physical, cognitive, social and emotional wellbeing, we would love to hear from you.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting and teaching the children to play games and have fun at lunchtimes
  • Undertaking basic first aid as required, ensuring children's safety at all times
  • Encouraging positive behaviour using the school’s behaviour strategies when necessary
  • Ensuring children return safely to their classrooms at the end of lunchtime

 

This position requires you to work five days a week between 12 pm and 1 pm term time only.

Wincheap Primary School is situated on the outskirts of Canterbury, close to routes into London, Ashford, Maidstone and Dover and within easy walking distance of the City Centre. The school is well resourced and occupies a large site with its own playing fields and Forest School. There are approx 440 pupils on roll.

The school offers its pupils a broad and balanced curriculum with an emphasis on the arts and has a specialist designation with a speech, language and communication department on site.
