Folkestone Academy is seeking to recruit a dynamic and motivated Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages to be an integral part of our Turner School of Languages. They should be able to offer French with another language, preferably Spanish.

MFL is a popular subject with students, and highly respected in the Trust. At Turner Schools, students have the opportunity to study French and Spanish, with many opting to study a language at GCSE.  Our uptake is continuing to grow year on year, and we are proud to offer ‘A’ Level languages as a part of the provision to our students. We use a blended approach, using the EPI method. Therefore, an understanding of this would be welcome, but not essential.

The Turner Trust can offer two OFSTED GOOD SCHOOLS with an exciting opportunity to work with the Director of MFL to build on the achievements of our MFL departments. We can offer you a dedicated, collaborative cross trust team of professionals always seeking to welcome new ideas and input.

As a faculty we are committed to supporting our students in becoming confident in their ability, with a sense of purpose and a vision for their futures. We want all of our students to be successful, achieving qualifications that prepare them to succeed in their ambition.

We welcome applications from teachers and ECT's who are highly motivated and dedicated, with a passion for powerful education and research.

Come and join us and be a part of our journey. We are looking for someone who:

  • is dedicated to improving student progress and raising attainment
