We are seeking an inspirational and dedicated Deputy Headteacher with a focus on curriculum and PedTech development to join our Senior Leadership Team at Knockhall Primary School. This is an exciting role for a dynamic individual to lead on curriculum design, implementation, and innovation across key stages, ensuring our pupils receive a high-quality, future-ready education.

As Deputy Headteacher for Curriculum, you will provide strategic leadership in delivering a broad, balanced curriculum enhanced by educational technologies. You will ensure technology effectively enriches teaching strategies, personalises learning, and equips pupils with essential digital skills. Working closely with the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team, you will foster a consistent, coherent approach to curriculum delivery, blending traditional and digital methods.

Key responsibilities include leading curriculum development in English, Maths, and digital fluency, ensuring an engaging, inclusive curriculum that meets diverse learner needs. You will provide professional development, coaching, and mentoring to staff to integrate digital tools, supporting improvements in teaching quality and pupil outcomes.

You will also oversee assessment and reporting systems, using data to monitor progress and inform improvement. Additionally, you will deputise for the Headteacher when necessary and play a key role in safeguarding, ensuring a safe, supportive learning environment for all pupils.

The successful candidate will:

  • Provide leadership and management of a broad, balanced, digitally enriched curriculum meeting all pupils' needs.
  • Lead the strategic development of English and Maths, integrating digital tools to enhance learning and engagement.
  • Mentor and inspire staff in curriculum development and pedagogical technology.
  • Design and implement initiatives to continuously improve teaching, using technology to personalise learning and raise standards.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Leadership Team to monitor and assess pupil progress, setting high expectations for achievement.
  • Lead staff development through Continuous Professional Development (CPD) planning, implementation, and delivery.
  • Act as a role model, fostering a positive, collaborative culture that embraces digital innovation.
  • Deputise for the Headteacher as required, supporting day-to-day school management.
