Grange Park School is looking to recruit an individual who is enthusiastic, committed, and able to work well in a team and who wants to make a difference every day.

The pupils need a learning mentor to work in our successful school. The role will be varied working across various departments in school.  This is an exciting role where you get to shape the future of our young people. You may also be assigned a form group to support in, undertake lunch duties and be involved in school events.

Experience/qualifications are not always necessary and we are looking for someone who is willing to learn and be part of a team. We recognise and accept a range of skills and experiences not necessarily from the education sector

Each day is a new challenge and you will make a difference to the lives of our pupils.  There is free tea and coffee, free parking, focus on wellbeing, excellent CPD available as well as scones on a Friday made by the senior leadership team.

The working hours are 0830-1530 term time only

The salary Kent Range 4 £21,389 FTE(£16,303 pro rota) + Special Needs Allowance. Total Salary including Allowances  =  £17,725 A full job description is attached.

Information about the school

Our School

Grange Park School is an autism specific provision for children aged 11 to 19 located in a purpose built school in Wrotham and for children aged 8-11 located in Stansted village 3 miles from the main school site. The school also operates a post16 provision in partnership with a local college in Maidstone and Medway. All of our pupils have educational heath care plans.

All of our pupils are expected to sit GCSE’s and transition into adulthood with the skills to be successful. Class sizes at the Stansted and Wrotham sites are between 11-13 pupils with a teacher and 1-2 learning mentors. At the partnership college, learning mentors are supporting individual students or small groups of students aged 16-19 years in the college tutor groups / classrooms and out in the community.

Currently judged as “good” by Ofsted. We are committed to providing our pupils with the best possible learning opportunities and supporting them in their development.
