As an Attendance Officer, you will play a crucial role in promoting and improving student attendance, ultimately contributing to their academic achievements and progress. You will be responsible for monitoring, tracking, and analysing attendance data, ensuring that our students are maximising their learning opportunities.

This is a highly rewarding position that requires a proactive and empathetic individual who can create positive relationships with students, parents, and school staff. You will act as a bridge between the home and school, providing support and guidance to all stakeholders to achieve consistent attendance.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor student attendance, identify patterns, and assist in developing strategies to address any attendance-related challenges.
  • Implement attendance policies and guidelines to ensure compliance with government regulations and school policies.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school based support to identify and address potential barriers to attendance.
  • Conduct meetings with parents/guardians to establish open lines of communication and promote student attendance.
  • Create and maintain accurate attendance records, utilising software systems or spreadsheets.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to the Attendance Lead regarding attendance data, trends, and interventions.
  • Collaborate with the school's support team to develop and implement interventions targeted at improving attendance rates.
  • Facilitate information sharing to educate students, parents, and staff on the importance of regular attendance.
