Joydens Wood Junior School are looking to recruit 2 experienced class teachers to provide for the educational, spiritual, moral, social and cultural development for each individual child in their class and to support the overall development of the school.

Joydens Wood Junior School is a successful, vibrant school, a school where children come first.  We have a highly motivated, resourceful and committed team of staff and local committee members who care about and nurture the needs of every child.

We want our children to be happy at school and for learning to be fun and challenging.  We set high expectations and want to give our children every opportunity to become confident and independent learners.  We work closely with parents to ensure this happens and recognise the importance of good communication between home and school.

Our aim is to help the children to reach their full potential, to develop their social awareness and encourage each child to take part in our vast list of extra-curricular activities.  The school provides an extensive range of extra-curricular activities, and it is our intention to education the children for life, not only for their schools days.

Information about the federation

Joydens Wood Junior School is part of Nexus Education Schools Trust (NEST), a multi-academy trust made up of 20 primary schools located in the Boroughs of Bromley, Kent, Lewisham & Southwark. All are judged to be good or outstanding by Ofsted, creating an exceptional & distinctive learning community of primary schools.

At NEST our commitment to the learning process challenges all of our schools to fully endorse the concept of collaborative learning. Just as our commitment to inclusion is a non-negotiable so too is each school’s contribution to inter-school learning and the development of a NEST wide professional learning community.

“We have a moral purpose to provide excellence and opportunity for all, to enable lives to be transformed”.
