Information about the school

At Smeeth Community Primary School, we provide an educational environment where children are safe, happy and excited to learn. We offer a creative curriculum which will inspire our children to grow into independent, responsible and confident young people. We are also lucky enough to be a fully accredited Forest School, making the most of our fabulous grounds! Smeeth Community Primary School is situated in the beautiful rural village of Smeeth and the neighbouring area of Brabourne Lees, close to the North Downs AONB. The school is set in gorgeous surroundings; there are beautiful playing fields, split into two levels by a bank, just made for tobogganing when the snow is deep enough, and a playground bordered by a large patio area. In addition, we have an outdoor classroom, trim trail, clamber stack and fire pit for outdoor learning. From the upper school campus are views across endless green fields. We have a beautiful, cosy library full of lovely new books, a spacious Early Years area and a wonderful kitchen on site, where delicious meals are prepared daily. There are five lovely classrooms, two in the extended Victorian building and three more in the building that includes the hall. The Victorian schoolhouse is now part of the school’s working area and contains the offices, reception, upstairs storage and a cosy, comfortable PPA room where staff can work in peace and quiet. The children's learning environment is extremely important to us; we have redecorated throughout and now boast beautiful hardwood floors, new washrooms for the children and a comfortable, newly-redecorated staffroom (complete with coffee machine!) - because our staff work extremely hard and also need somewhere lovely to relax!
