An exciting new role is now available to join the Student Support team as a Senior Progress and Performance Tutor at MidKent College. Full time and Part time will be considered for this role which is based across both campus sites in Gillingham and Maidstone. The successful candidate will be responsible for line managing a small number Progress and Performance tutors alongside supporting the  planning and delivery quality PSHE provision.  

You will support the PSHE Lead to ensure the smooth running of the tutorial programme, assisting with planning an active Personal, Social & Health Education programme of activities that meets the priorities set out in Keeping Children Safe in Education 2024 alongside contextualising safeguarding concerns and pastoral education that meets the needs of the curriculum, delivering a set number of hours a week of PSHE / pastoral support to students as required and for the line management of a team of personal and progress tutors.
 
You will also be responsible for working with the Student Engagement Coordinator and the student support coordinator to ensure consistency of PSHE information is being delivered across all departments.
 
We are looking for a dynamic individual who has an in-depth understanding of all aspects of the PSHE curriculum at post 16 including the challenges and opportunities that young people face growing up in modern Britain.

This role is 40 weeks per year and core working days are 8.30 - 5pm.
