Job Overview:
We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Apprentice Nursery Practitioner. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to kick-start a career in early childhood education and childcare. As an Apprentice Nursery Practitioner, you will work under the guidance of experienced staff to develop your skills and knowledge in nurturing and caring for young children.

Duties:
- Assist in creating a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment for children
- Support the planning and delivery of educational activities
- Engage with children in play and learning activities
- Help maintain accurate records of children's progress and development
- Collaborate with senior staff to ensure the welfare of all children
- Uphold high standards of cleanliness and hygiene within the nursery setting

Requirements:
- Passion for working with young children
- Ability to communicate effectively with both children and adults
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills in childcare
- Good command of English language
- Strong organisational skills to manage tasks efficiently
- Drive to contribute positively to the growth and development of children
- Previous experience working with children is desirable but not essential

Information about the school

Fordcombe Preschool Limited is a not-for-profit company set up and run by 3 dedicated local people to provide a preschool for local children aged 2 and above. Fordcombe lies between Langton Green and Penshurst on the B2188. The Preschool runs in the smaller of the two halls Monday-Friday 8am-6pm 51 weeks a year. It is packed away on Friday so that the hall can be hired out at the weekend. The setting is situated in the heart of the Kent countryside and is surrounded by fields providing fantastic opportunities for outdoor fun. There is a small enclosed garden attached to the hall and a play park a short walk across the cricket pitch. The local school is just across the road and we have a good working relationship with the staff there. The large hall can also be used for activities when it is available.
