SEND Teaching Assistants

We are looking for a suitable person to support the complex needs of one of our learners.  Their difficulties include:  

  • Attention and listening
  • Emotional regulation
  • Turn taking
  • Talking in sentences
  • Playing with adults and other children.  

Much of the work will be 1:1 supporting the pupil access their bespoke learning pathway, in a dedicated nurture space.      

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to make a real difference to a child's development, supporting and encouraging them as they strive to achieve their goals.

The successful candidate must be enthusiastic, patient, calm and have the ability to work within a team. They must also have a good standard of English (written and spoken) and Maths to enable them to model and support appropriately, as well as excellent interpersonal skills.  In return, we can offer a supportive environment with quality CPD and the opportunity to be part of a developing team, supported by two exceptionally capable and experienced colleagues, both with a great sense of humour! 

Whilst the post is initially offered on a fixed term basis from 1st September 2024 o 31st December 2024, we envisage this being an ongoing need and anticipate the contract will be renewed.  Hours are 8.30am to 3.30pm Monday to Friday, term time only.

Information about the school

We are a semi-rural school, set in very attractive surroundings. The school is housed in modern buildings, and is very well resourced throughout. Christian values, a caring ethos and having high self-esteem and expectations are important to us. Our children are enthusiastic, positive learners, and are a joy to teach. For many of them English is an additional language. All the staff enjoy working as a close team, being completely committed to the progress and well-being of our learners, but also having lots of fun.
