Salary Grade:          NJC Grade C1 Salary - £20,550 to £25,611 (FTE £23,893 to £29,777)

Hours:                     37 hours a week - Term Time Only plus Staff Development Days

Responsible to:        Headteacher

Then the Home School Support Worker and Learning Mentor role at St. James’ could be the job for you!

As an integral part of our team, you will foster positive relationships between school, pupils and families, facilitating improved outcomes and opportunities.  Your responsibilities will include delivering targeted family support to enhance social, emotional development, health and well-being while ensuring the inclusion of all pupils in school life.

Applicants must have good numeracy and literacy skills and/or an NVQ or equivalent related to the post.  Experience of working with children is vital.

Family support for children’s learning is very important to us.  We need you to help parents and carers to support their children so that they can get the very best from their education.  This could be anything from lending a friendly ear to help with housing or advice on parenting.  We need you to get to know our families and to work closely with them and with other agencies to support children’s pastoral and academic needs.
