KS2 Teaching Assistant - Fixed Term Contract to 31st August, 2025

TDET Band 3, point 11 - annual salary £15,999 (pro rata if employment does not begin in September 2024)

30 hours - 08:30-15:30 - Monday to Friday - Term-time only (38 weeks)

This role will be assisting children throughout the school or on a 1:1/small group basis as necessary.  With excellent training and development on offer, this is a position that will allow you to grow.

 

The Role (will include)

  • Providing classroom, 1:1 or small group support
  • Supporting the child/children with their educational, behavioural, emotional and social development
  • Building and maintaining successful relationships with children, whist treating them with respect and consideration
  • Providing expertise to deliver a personalised curriculum for each pupils learning
  • Having the highest expectation that every child will make sustained academic and personal progress
  • Using your strong numeracy, literacy and communication skills to help develop the pupil’s standards

 

The Person must:

  • Have experience of working in school as a Teaching Assistant or similar
  • Possess a minimum of GCSE grade C/4 or above or Functional Skills Level 2 in English and Mathematics 
  • Work well in a dedicated team committed to providing every child with the support and opportunities they need to progress in their learning
  • Demonstrate commitment and enthusiasm in their interaction with children and colleagues
  • Be able to work collaboratively with a range of adults eg SEN Leadership, Teachers, other TA’s
  • Have the desire to grow and develop
