We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our outstanding team. We currently have a position for a TA to work in our school. This is a term time position. The working hours will be between 8:45- 15:30  Monday to Friday. We do also have positions to join our Early Birds club which starts at 8:00am.

We are a lively and vibrant staff and are looking for someone to join our driven and talented team. You should have a very good standard of English and Maths and be able to communicate effectively with children and adults, have a flexible attitude and good sense of humour and be friendly and approachable. Good time management and the ability to work with your own initiative are essential.

 
Experience with working with Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 children is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Teaching groups of children and individuals and helping them in achieving the lesson learning intentions in English, Maths and across all areas of the curriculum.
  • Feeding back to the class teacher, keeping records of progress 
  • Working with the Year Groups to support any social, emotional, behavioural or medical needs.
  • Planning (with guidance from the teacher) and teaching small groups and individual children in Maths and English booster groups
  • Preparing resources and some administrative work.
  • Displaying children's work creatively.
  • Supervising during playtimes and dinnertimes

Otford Primary School is located near Sevenoaks, based in the historic village of Otford. We are transitioning to becoming a one-form entry school, drawing from the village and immediate surrounding areas with committed staff and parents. We like to maximise links within the village and local community.
