We have an opportunity for an Administration Assistant to join our team at Westlands School.

Working hours will be 8.00 am - 4.00 pm

The post encompasses a wide range of responsibilities therefore comes with an expectation of professional standards as well as administrative capacity. The post is based in our busy School Office, and will also involve providing administrative support to the Safeguarding Team

The successful candidate will be driven, a team player and have excellent communication skills. They will be able to interact with young people and a range of external agencies. The capacity to work methodically with accuracy and attention to detail is essential, as well as:

  • A good standard of education with English and Mathematics GCSE or equivalent;
  • Experience of working in a fast paced office;
  • Being able to cope with interruptions;
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft packages and / or Google Suite;
  • An understanding of the issues surrounding the safeguarding of children and commitment to child welfare and safety.
  • An NVQ 2 in Business Administration and / or experience of using School systems such as SIMS or Brom Com would be an advantage but it is not essential.
