We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate and inclusive Science teacher to join our fantastic, supportive team. 

The role will involve teaching across Key stages 2,3 and 4 with the successful candidate given the opportunity to shape the direction of Science at the Orchard School. 

We would welcome applications from qualified teachers at any stage of their career, from mainstream or specialist settings, including ECTs. 

The successful candidate will have a love for Science, clearly demonstrable skills in teaching Science, as well as, most importantly, the drive to deliver a creative and inclusive education and succeed within a specialist setting. 

Students are taught within small class groups at The Orchard School, with each class having at least one teaching assistant. 

You will be responsible for planning and teaching Science up to and including GCSE / equivalent level. 

Candidates will be expected to provide pastoral support and care to our students/a tutor group and to immerse themselves in the school community?

Information about the school

The Orchard School caters for primary and secondary aged pupils with social, emotional, mental health difficulties and associated learning difficulties. Recently judged Good by Ofsted, the PAN is 93. Our catchment covers East Kent although pupils also attend from outside the area.
