Advert

We are looking to appoint a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join us for the new academic year and start on 1 September 2023 as we enter our 10th Anniversary year since the school was built in 2013.

We are looking for someone who really understands the diverse nature of primary schools and doesn’t mind ‘getting stuck in’!

We are excited about the next decade of our school life and would welcome applications from committed, passionate and professional candidates to help develop the school’s nurturing ethos and uphold our core values:

  • Respect
  • Responsibility
  • Pride
  • Honesty

This HLTA role is primarily be based within Early Years/KS1 so a good understand of phonics is essential. We currently use Little Wandle so experience of that programme would be an advantage, but not essential as full training will be given.  Likewise, with a First Aid certificate.

The attached Job Description and Person Specification gives full details so please take the time to study these and, in your application, describe how you meet the criteria we are looking for.

We are advertising this role at KR5 initially on a one year fixed term contract, but we are willing to increase the salary to KR6 (currently £23,801-£25,262) and make the role permanent for the right candidate with the right experience and commitment.

School visits are encouraged before application; please contact finance@goatlees.kent.sch.uk to arrange a tour of our lovely building and see for yourself!

(Please note we will contact referees prior to interview.)
