We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, self-motivated and calm person who would enjoy working in a school office environment, has a friendly disposition, enjoys working as part of a team and would be dedicated to the needs of the school and the children.

As school Administrative Assistant you will be the primary point of contact for parents and visitors, and the role will be the ‘front of house’. Flexibility is essential, together with the ability to be organised, pro-active and demonstrate fantastic time management skills.

As EHCP administrator you will organise the timetable for EHCP reviews for the academic year, liaising with teachers and external parties, collating documentation from all parties. Live type, minute take and editing throughout meetings.

Previous experience of working in a school environment and knowledge of Arbor systems is desirable.

This is a permanent position, 35 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (38 weeks Term time plus 5 days), Monday - Friday.

We are looking for someone who:

  • has great organisational and communication skills;
  • is able to remain calm and work under pressure to competing deadlines;
  • has strong IT skills, including MS Office, with the ability to quickly learn new systems;
  • is attentive to detail and able to work effectively in a busy environment;
  • has maths and English Language GCSE grades A*- C;
  • is a positive role model to all.

Information about the school

Aspire School is a special free school in Sittingbourne for children aged from 4 to 11 years; opened in September 2020. The school provides 168 places for pupils with autism and speech and language needs. Aspire School will provide exceptional specialist teaching from a team of specialist teachers, teaching assistants and other professionals. The new premises have been specifically designed to meet the needs of the children and will include therapy rooms, a high tech sensory room, soft play and a swing room. The curriculum will reflect the individual needs of the pupils and will offer opportunities for academic learning and the development of communication, life skills and personalised targets.
