Due to an Internal promotion, a fantastic and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Subject Leader for History at Westlands School.

We are seeking to appoint an aspirational, dynamic and highly motivated individual to continue to develop our History department, building on increasingly positive results at GCSE. The History Department are supportive, friendly, forward thinking and highly collaborative team who are looking forward to welcoming a new colleague to be part of their continued development.

The History department at Westlands School is one in which prides itself on offering an ambitious, diverse and carefully constructed curriculum, which encourages students to be inquisitive and curious. All students at KS4 study a humanities subject, we also teach History to Sixth Form students. We want to support students to think critically and explore the world with empathy and compassion, and make History enjoyable!
