Inclusion Manager/ SENDCo

We require an Inclusion Manager / SENDCo to join New Horizons Children’s Academy.  The successful candidate will be a member of the Extended Leadership Team and will determine the strategic development of the SEND policy and provision within the school, working alongside the SLT and staff to ensure the best possible outcomes for SEND students.  They will be responsible for day-to-day operation of the SEND policy and co-ordination of specific provision to support individual pupils with SEN, promoting high standards of teaching and learning, pupil achievement and progression through effective inclusion for pupils with special educational needs. They will assist the Headteacher / Director of Education in ensuring inclusive practice is developed to promote the highest standards of pupil achievement for all.

 

What you will need to succeed: 

  • Be a qualified Teacher 
  • Have a thorough knowledge of present developments, particularly those relating to SEND strategy and provision
  • Be able to support and advise all stakeholders in regards to SEND provision ensuring the needs of the students are met.
  • Be the Designated Teacher for Looked After and previously Looked After Children 
  • High expectations for yourself and the children to ensure that all of our children achieve their very best
  • An aspiring leader of learning and happy to grasp exciting CPD opportunities  
  • Contribute to the values, ethos and the development of our schools
  • Passionate about teaching and learning and have a positive outlook and excellent interpersonal skills
