Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) – Interventions in Maths Teaching / Child Support - Term Time - Special Needs Position

Ripplevale School, Ripple

Are you looking for a new challenge? Are you interested in making a real difference to SEND pupils?

We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated and resilient person to join our friendly school for Maths interventions 1:1 or in very small groups. Although our pupils have a wide range of academic abilities this role is specifically for pupils who are working at a lower level or who have gaps in their early knowledge due to their ASD diagnosis and related conditions or previous gaps in education. Consequently, a knowledge of KS1 or 2 Maths skills would be especially useful. Our boys are engaging, fun and quirky and are very rewarding to work with.

This role would ideally suit an experienced LSA wanting to develop their skills further, a teacher wanting a less pressurised role or someone who is passionate about early Maths skills. Training and support would be provided by the Maths and English Intervention Lead where needed.
