Job role: Bridge Support Provision Teaching Assistant

Salary: FMAT Band B1 £18,830.50p.a FTE (Pro-rata to £13,391.58 pa)

Hours: 30 hours 30 minutes per week

Monday - Friday - 8.40am - 3.15pm (30 minutes unpaid lunch break)

Term Time only Plus 3 Training Days

Contract Status: Permanent

The school is looking to recruit a Teaching Assistant to work within the Multi Academy Trust. Applicants should have a sound understanding of SEND students, have at least a level 2 literacy and numeracy qualification/GCSE GradeC/4 (or equivalent).

The successful candidate will join a team in a busy environment and will require someone with a calm and professional disposition. You will need to be flexible, reliable and have a professional approach towards your work where duties include supervising the learning that takes place within the classroom and administering the work set by subject teachers who are absent. The ability to work as part of a team is essential, however you will also need to be able to work independently and organise your time. You will be responsible for working each day with students placed into the school’s alternative provision on a long-term basis and so the ability to form positive working relationships and support students to make progress is paramount.
